Our Company
Founded in 1974 by our Company’s namesake Jack Lanfranco, J.Lanfranco & Cie has earned a global reputation for manufacturing high-performance locknuts and providing exceptional client service.
As a third-generation family-owned business, we take immense pride in our long-standing history and the trust that our clients have placed in us throughout the years. Our success, and growing demand for our products, prompted the establishment of J.Lanfranco Fastener Systems Inc. in Montreal, Canada in 1996. This strategic move allowed us to better serve our North American customers while upholding our commitment to excellence. In 2018, we were proud to open J.Lanfranco Fastener Systems USA to meet the demands of projects with Buy America requirements.

What’s special about our locknuts?
One of our key differentiators is our unique self-locking technology. Unlike traditional fasteners that can be destructive when removed, our self-locking fasteners are designed for easy installation and removal without compromising the integrity of your assembly. We have extensively tested our fasteners under some of the most challenging conditions to ensure their reliability and performance. This is why our fasteners are trusted and relied upon across a wide range of applications, including high-speed trains, cement factories, military vehicles, and mining equipment.
Our fasteners are designed to reduce maintenance efforts, improve reliability, enhance security, and facilitate quick changeouts. By aligning our goals with those of our clients, we continuously develop new products and innovations to ensure their success for years to come.
Quality - ISO 9001:2015
J.Lanfranco locknuts are produced in our ISO 9001:2015 certified factory using modern production methods. All of our locknuts are meticulously produced, carefully examined, and expeditiously shipped to the highest standards in the industry.
Our Quality Standards
- Every nut is stamped with our founder’s initials (“JL”) to indicate it meets our strict quality control standards.
- Every nut has its ISO quality class indicated.
- Special markings are available (IFI 100/107).
- Each box contains a lot number for full traceability.
- Full material reports are available for every lot.
Environment – ISO 14001:2015
At J.Lanfranco environmental responsibility is not just a requirement, but a core value that drives our actions. We are proud to announce that our factory is well on its way to achieving ISO 14001:2015 certification, which showcases our dedication to implementing and maintaining an effective Environmental Management System.
Furthermore, we have implemented a comprehensive system for the collection, filtration, and responsible reuse or recycling of all fluids used in our manufacturing processes plus we have a robust recycling and reuse program in place for all packaging material.
Looking towards the future, we are proactively exploring the use of low carbon ‘Green Steel’ in our upcoming productions. By utilizing this sustainable material, we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our products, further advancing our environmental stewardship and by implementing and championing best environmental practices, we aim to be at the forefront of the sustainability movement.

We are now focused on three key initiatives: Homes for Heroes, Canadian Mental Health Society, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
